Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused Pre-Test Technician/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in preparing patients for their appointments by performing preliminary testing and ensuring efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. In addition to pre-testing responsibilities, this position includes administrative tasks that support daily office operations and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
Pre-Testing & Patient Flow
- Perform preliminary testing on each patient in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
- Prepare patients for the doctor by completing required pre-exam procedures and documenting results.
- Maintain efficient patient flow, keeping the schedule on time and communicating any delays to the team.
Administrative & Front Office Support
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and updating patient information.
- Perform accurate data entry and ensure all records are kept up-to-date.
- Support general office operations and provide administrative assistance to staff as needed.
Skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proven customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Medical or optical office experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
