Position Summary
LOOPos Inc. is seeking Information Systems Testing Technicians to join our growing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for testing software applications and information systems related to our restaurant technology platform, identifying defects, documenting test results, and supporting quality assurance activities to ensure our products meet functional, technical, and performance requirements.
This position may also involve occasional business outreach activities, including visiting restaurants and local food businesses to gather feedback on software usage, operational challenges, and technology requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and execute software and information systems test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, platforms, and information systems.
Identify, document, track, and report software defects, errors, bugs, and performance issues.
Analyze test results and provide recommendations to improve software quality, usability, and functionality.
Install, configure, and maintain software environments required for testing activities.
Conduct regression, integration, system, functional, and user acceptance testing.
Work closely with software developers, project teams, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve identified issues.
Verify software compliance with functional specifications, technical requirements, security standards, and company procedures.
Maintain accurate testing documentation, defect logs, test reports, and quality assurance records.
Participate in software quality assurance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct door-to-door marketing and business outreach to introduce LoopOS software solutions to potential clients.
Visit restaurants and local businesses to conduct software surveys and gather feedback on POS systems, digital ordering, kitchen display systems, payment processing, and business technology needs.
Collect and document client feedback, operational challenges, and software feature requests to support product improvement.
Communicate basic product information to potential clients and direct interested businesses to the appropriate sales or support team.
Follow company policies, testing standards, confidentiality requirements, and information security procedures.
Employment Requirements
Completion of a two-year diploma or associate degree program in Software Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum one year of related experience in software testing, quality assurance, information systems support, or a similar technical role.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, test case development, and defect tracking processes.
Familiarity with databases, operating systems, software applications, and development/testing environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Experience with software testing, quality assurance, automation, or defect tracking tools is considered an asset.
Comfortable conducting in-person business outreach, door-to-door marketing, and client surveys when required.
