We are a small firm in the Barrie area in a position to grow with the right team. We practice primarily in building structures, building rehabilitation and site upgrades. Our current requirement is for a well-rounded junior to Intermediate Civil Engineer with primary experience in Buildings/Structures.
Our work varies in size and complexity including low to mid-size residential, commercial and industrial, concrete rehabilitation, site design, small geo-structural assignments, etc.
Intermediate Engineer
· A Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience.
· Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings for a wide spectrum of building structures in concrete, steel, masonry and wood
· Prepare and coordinate structural and rehabilitation designs through tender into construction
· Commitment to high quality deliverables in a timely manner
· Site reviews and reporting of building structure/building rehabilitation projects under construction. The rehabilitation work will require high levels of transporation.
· Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to work in a team environment
· Collaborative attitude within company and with external team members
· Organized and detail-oriented approach to work
· Great verbal, diagrammatic and written communication skills
· Strong motivation for constant improvement of professional competencies.
· Demonstrative of professional and ethical integrity in the balance of personal, company and client interest.
· Proficient in design software, preferably ETABS, SAFE, Structure Point Suite.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is considered an asset
· Proficiency with the MS office software suite

· Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel is required

· Schedule flexibility: ability to accommodate occasional evening work, and business travel.
· Construction site experience is considered an asset
