Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Solidworks Drafter/Operational Assistant to join our team. As a Solidworks Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans used in construction and manufacturing projects. This person would also be an assistant to our Operations Manager in managing a team of warehouse guys to get shipments out in a timely manner.
What You’ll Do as a Solidworks Drafter
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Sketchup, SolidWorks, and Civil 3D to produce detailed drawings
- Develop 2D animations and schematics for visual representation
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret sketches and concepts into technical drawings
- Assist in creating plans for building layouts, structures, and components
- Review and modify designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
- -Reverse engineer products that don't have a CAD drawing
- *Experience*
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Sketchup, and Civil 3D
- Experience in drafting architectural or engineering designs
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work

What You’ll Do as an Operations Assistant
- Coordinate and prepare all warehouse documentation, including pick lists, shipping paperwork, and product labels for production and warehouse staff.
- Manage all Day & Ross LTL shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring timely dispatch of orders.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address delivery delays, discrepancies, or transportation issues, working closely with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Step in to act as the Operations Manager when he is away or busy with other tasks
