Static Security Guard – Construction Site
Royab Security Inc. is currently hiring professional and reliable Static Security Guards for construction site assignments. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through regular patrols, access control, incident reporting, and monitoring site activities.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the construction site every 30 minutes to 1 hour
- Monitor and secure all access points, gates, fencing, and site equipment
- Observe and report suspicious activity, trespassing, hazards, or safety concerns
- Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs accurately
- Communicate professionally with site supervisors, contractors, and emergency services when required
- Ensure all security procedures and site safety regulations are followed
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and incidents
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the shift
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Valid Alberta Security Services License
- Valid CPR / First Aid Certification
- Valid WHMIS Certificate
- Valid CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) Certificate
- Minimum 1 year of security experience in the construction industry
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Basic computer and software knowledge for reporting and communication
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must possess a reliable vehicle
- Must provide a clean and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
- Must provide references from previous employers
- Physically fit and capable of working long shifts and outdoor environments
- Must obtain and wear steel toe boots and a construction safety hard hat upon hiring
