Job Summary
Kingston Honda/Acura is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to vehicle pickup. This role requires excellent communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, enabling them to effectively recommend services and upsell additional repairs when appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly, explaining necessary services and options.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that benefit the customer while meeting dealership goals.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status and ensure satisfaction upon completion of service.
Skills
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive sales and service processes.
- Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is a strong advantage, allowing for better communication with technicians and customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle inquiries professionally.
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to upsell services tactfully without pressure.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and terminology to effectively explain repairs to customers.
- Cash handling experience ensuring accurate processing of payments.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interactions with customers and team members.
