Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Safety & Compliance Coordinator to oversee regulatory compliance for our fuel hauling operations. This role is responsible for managing CVOR performance, monitoring Hours of Service (HOS), ensuring Daily Vehicle Inspection compliance, preparing for MTO inspections, and maintaining all transportation safety documentation. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in the trucking industry, strong knowledge of Ontario MTO regulations, and familiarity with B-Train and petroleum transport operations.
Duties
- Maintain and monitor company CVOR safety rating and compliance performance
- Ensure compliance with Ontario MTO, NSC, and TDG regulations
- Audit and monitor Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD logs
- Review and manage Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
- Ensure compliance with Schedule 1 pre-trip inspection standards
- Prepare drivers for MTO roadside inspections and audits
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and fuel spills
- Implement and oversee fuel spill response procedures
- Maintain complete and compliant driver qualification files
- Conduct internal safety audits and driver safety meetings
- Track violations, inspections, and compliance data using Microsoft Excel
- Develop corrective action plans to reduce violations and improve CVOR standing
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fuel hauling or petroleum transportation
- Direct experience with B-Train / Super B operations
- Strong knowledge of Ontario MTO, CVOR, NSC, and TDG regulations
- Experience managing driver qualification files and compliance documentation
- Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
- Experience with roadside inspections and MTO audit procedures
- Ability to conduct safety audits, driver training, and ride-alongs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking compliance and reporting
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Safety certification such as CRSP or NCSO is an asset (preferred but not required)
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
