Overview
We are seeking dedicated Volunteer Community Drivers to support local transportation needs within our community. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing reliable transportation services to those in need. Duties
- Safely operate a vehicle to transport community members to appointments, errands, or events
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle before and after trips
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing friendly and respectful service
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during each trip
- Assist with heavy lifting of mobility aids or luggage as needed
- Keep accurate records of trips and passenger information when required
Experience
- Valid commercial driving license or appropriate driving credentials
- Prior experience in customer service or working with the public is preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact courteously with diverse community members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility aids or luggage
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are essential for safety compliance
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining trip records and vehicle upkeep

Pay: $0.10-$0.20 per hour
