Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment and ensuring timely delivery. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient route management to support our operational needs.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles
- Load and unload heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs or reporting issues for maintenance.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transportation.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including operating heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to transportation and heavy equipment operation.
- Automotive repair skills are a plus, enabling basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; class 1 license
