Role:
The primary role of General Labourers is to assemble various CGC Group heat pumps in a manufacturing environment. Specific area requirements of the assembly process will be assessed based on production/order needs and previous experience/training.
Responsibilities may include the following (depending on department):
- Using basic hand tools (i.e. torches, power drills, grinders, wire strippers, crimpers, saws, etc.) assemble heat pump units as per work instructions. Could include:
- Brazing of copper pipes;
- Working on CNC benders or punch machinery in our sheet metal department;
- Electrical assembly, such as wiring, crimping, assembly of electrical boards;
- Assembly of cabinets and/or ERV’s;
- Build/assembly of risers
- Proven ability to uphold a high level of safety and awareness at all times and follow all safety rules
- Follows all processes and procedures in place and identifies areas for continuous improvement
- Compliance and understanding of all Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with area Leads and co-workers;
- Good hand/eye coordination;
- Able to speak/read/write English;
- Ability to read and follow work instructions;
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility to move between jobs and switch priorities
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
