Nero Waffles is a family-owned business with locations in Yaletown, the West End, and South Granville. We're known for our authentic Belgian waffles, made from scratch and for creating a welcoming environment built on quality, honesty, teamwork and inclusiveness.
We're currently looking for a friendly, energetic, and dedicated Full-Time Host to join our team at our Yaletown location. This is a full-time position for the busy summer season and may transition into a part-time role afterward.
As the first person our guests meet, you'll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through our doors. If you enjoy connecting with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and love being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Clean tables and support servers section
- Answer phone inquiries courteously
- Maintain cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
What we're looking for:
- Weekend availability is required.
- Flexibility to work both day and evening shifts is a strong asset. This job requires mainly dayshifts during summer months.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and excellent customer service skills.
- Proven experience in guest services or hospitality preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Clover is a plus.
