Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and custom finishes using airless paint spraying and hand tools with precision and consistency
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, welding, and heavy lifting to restore vehicles to their original condition
- Conduct detailing tasks such as buffing, polishing, and auto glass replacement to enhance the vehicle’s appearance
- Utilize power tools and auto estimating software to assess damage and determine repair scope accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols for handling chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle maintenance tasks and auto restoration projects to ensure timely completion
Experience
- Prior experience or background working in an auto body shop is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with auto painting techniques including airless spray systems and buffing methods
- Proficiency in welding, auto glass installation, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for repairs
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and general auto body repair processes essential for effective troubleshooting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Previous experience in auto restoration is a strong plus
