Kitchen Dietary Aide is a full time position working closely with the day cooks , prep cooks and other personnel.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Dining room setup, properly setting up tables in a clean and orderly fashion
- Vacuuming, wiping tables and chairs
- Food storage, rotation and labeling
- Preparation of food for trays
- Maintaining levels and cleanliness of condiments (salt and pepper, sugar etc)
- Setting up tables for beverages for breakfast and lunch
- Preparing pots of tea & coffee
- Helping with dining room service when needed, taking orders and serving them in a polite and efficient manner
- Ensuring food trays are made up and delivered
- Clearing dishes in a fast and efficient manner
- Scrape plates, pots and pans, rack in a proper fashion, run dish machine, de-rack & put dishes in proper place
- Assist with monthly food and supplies inventory
- Cleaning, maintaining kitchen, dish pit and serving equipment
- Garbage removal in dining room and kitchen
- Adhere to infection control procedures as instructed by the nurses, cook, or Administrator
- Comply with the residence's policies and procedures
- Participate in fire drills and any other fire safety exercises
- Participate in staff meetings and training

- Able to perform physical work.
- Must have a pleasant, cooperative and supportive attitude.
- Willingness and ability to learn.
Pay: $18.50 per hour
