ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an energetic, professional, and service-oriented Banquet Server to support the Club's busy calendar of weddings, tournaments, member events, and special functions. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service while creating a welcoming and memorable experience for members and guests. The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding hospitality in a fast-paced event environment.
Please note this is a seasonal position with possibility for extension.
This is a seasonal position with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends based on Club events and operational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional food and beverage service during banquets, weddings, tournaments, and Club events.
- Welcome members and guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
- Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to function specifications.
- Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, and beverages in accordance with Club service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout events and respond promptly to requests and concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of banquet spaces before, during, and after events.
- Complete opening, ongoing, and closing duties for banquet functions.
- Work collaboratively with banquet captains, kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow team members to ensure seamless event execution.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Assist with resetting rooms and preparing for future functions.
- Attend department meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional Member experiences.
· Smart Serve Certification (required prior to start date).
· Minimum 1 year of food service experience preferred, ideally in banquet, hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to remain calm and service-focused during busy events.
· Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on Club events.
· Commitment to maintaining the Club's high standards of service and professionalism.
