About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As a Temp Technician, Core Shed at our Brucejack operation, you’ll support the geological team by executing safe, accurate, and timely core handling, logging, and sampling procedures. Your work will ensure consistent, high-quality geological data that supports exploration programs and ongoing research. You’ll help maintain an organized, efficient core shed environment that aligns with environmental and data integrity standards. This is a six-month position.
- Follow all safety protocols and SOPs while working in the core shed and surrounding areas

Complete core handling, markup, orientation, cutting, sampling, and geotechnical logging

Photograph core samples using standardized procedures; archive images linked to geological logs

Enter core data (e.g., XRF, hyperspectral, density) into databases with a focus on accuracy

Store, retrieve, and manage core samples according to SOPs and laydown procedures

Assist with disposal, reuse, and staging of core material while minimizing environmental impact
-
Support geologists’ sampling plans and access to archived core for internal/external research
-
Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members, and contribute to continuous improvement
- Proficiency in core handling, geotechnical logging, and geological sampling per SOPs

Familiarity with sample cataloging, storage, and retrieval using standardized processes

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting

High attention to detail, consistency, and procedural compliance

Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a team setting

Ability to follow direction, ask questions, and offer suggestions for process improvements

Physically able to lift core boxes and work in field environments for extended periods

The expected salary range for this role is CA$40.00 / hour . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
