Reporting Manager: Distribution Leader
Location: Wingham Distribution Yard
Position Summary:
Main responsibilities are to assist the warehouse technician with day-to-day activities. The associate will take direction from the Warehouse Technician and Distribution leader for what jobs will be completed during the day. If warehousing responsibilities are minimal, the Warehouse Associate will move to the Finish Cleaning Department or Yard to assist in other jobs.

Responsibilities:

Operate (and inspect) material handling equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles to the warehouse and yard

Opening containers and crates, fill orders, assist in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials

Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually and/or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions

Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
-
Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage and staging areas
-
Maintains a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers

Consistently maintains an acceptable level of productivity

Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment

Ship, receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials and stock with attention to accuracy

Sorts and quality controls incoming materials

Handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or material handling equipment

Inventory activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking

Clean truss surfaces and inspections as required by the supervisor depending on workload

Complete production orders

Small building and large building pick
-
Receiving trusses, small parts, covers, and other materials

Counting stock for inventory

Verifying picks for outside and inside

Fill and file shipping and receiving paperwork
