About the Role
We are looking for reliable Local Delivery Drivers to join our team in Toronto. You will be responsible for picking up and delivering goods within the city and surrounding areas, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver goods within local and nearby areas, ensuring safe and on-time delivery.
- Perform loading and unloading tasks according to dispatch instructions; handle any issues during transit.
- Use the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS) to upload delivery documents and maintain accurate shipment records.
- Communicate effectively with customers and handle special delivery requests on-site.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and good working condition.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence (Class 1 or Class A) and Class CZwith Air Brake endorsement.
- Fluent in English for daily communication and work tasks.
- Familiarity with Toronto road networks; local driving experience is a plus.
- Comfortable using computers or mobile devices to operate TMS systems and manage delivery data.
- Flexible to work early/late shifts and weekends as required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Physically able to handle some loading/unloading tasks.
- Responsible, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
