Job Summary
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment where young children can learn and grow. You will play a crucial role in the development and education of preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- All staff must be up to date with required immunizations
- Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and a clear 2 Step TB Test will be needed once offered a position
- All staff working with children are required to have a valid standard first aid certificate and Child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), including infant and child
- Ensures all our programs provide quality care, service and support to our children and families
- To have a working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act. Understand and comply with provincial, municipal, and our daycare programs and policies
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Maintain qualifications and certifications as required by HarmonyHills standards
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Cleans and sanitizes childcare spaces, especially toys, equipment, and other surfaces
- Other duties as assigned
Position overview
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- To have an ECE diploma and be registered in Ontario
- Experience working in a classroom setting, preferably in early childhood education
- RECE works with all age groups
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively
- Supporting and communicating with parents, colleagues and Supervisor
- Able to work all shifts between 7 am to 6pm
