Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 3 commercial vehicle to deliver milk and dairy products to various locations, including retail outlets, farms, and distribution centers
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling of delicate products
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal safety and performance standards
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries to ensure compliance and safety for yourself and others
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and delivery schedules to ensure timely service
- Assist with warehouse operations such as freight handling and inventory management when not on the road
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight or dairy products
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely (certification preferred)
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
