Job Overview
We are a well established civil construction contractor specializing in munipal road construction, underground utulities, traffic signal installations, street lighting, asphalt paving, concrete works and roadway rehabilitation throughout the Lower Mainland.
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong background in road construction who can effectively lead crews, coordinate daily operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field crews
- Plan and organize work to meet project schedules and production targets
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and production targets
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors and utility companies
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, quality standards and municipal requirements
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and site hazard assessments
- Monitor labour, equipment and material usage to maximize productivity
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets and production records
- Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing project delays
- Train, mentor and develop crew memebers
Qualifications
- Civil Construction experience
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
- Experience with road rehabilitation
