Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with food items according to established recipes and standards
- Support kitchen staff with food handling, cooking, and meal preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with stocking supplies and rotating stock to ensure freshness
- Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cashiering duties when required
- Provide friendly guest services, including serving food and beverages as needed
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with various kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when performing cashiering duties
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Hospitality or hotel experience, as well as barista or guest services background, are considered assets
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills
