Scholars of Stittsville is seeking passionate and enthusiastic part-time Tutors (French and English) for high school math and sciences. As a tutor at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering “results that matter” to all of our students.
The successful candidate will receive a certification on Scholars’ teaching methodology and a minimum numbers of guaranteed tutoring hours every week. We take care of planning and scheduling for you.
Job description
Small group (mostly 2:1, maximum 3:1 ratio), individualized tutoring for students.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Ontario Certified Teachers are preferred
- Candidates in Teachers College or university designation towards math and sciences are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent English and/or French oral and written skills and/or.
- A passion to help students reach their full potential by building trust and strong relationships.
- Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students.
- Hiring specialists tutoring: Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Data Management, Physics, Coding (Basic), and Chemistry.
- Able to commute to Stittsville in afternoons/evenings.
- Position will require a recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation below and commit for a minimum of one year.
- Monday - Thursday, 3:00 - 8:00 pm
- Saturdays, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
