The Role
We are looking for an adaptable and enthusiastic team member to join our practice as an Optometric Assistant.
This is a dynamic, hybrid role. You will move between front desk coordination, patient pre-testing, and optical support throughout your day. Success in this position comes from someone who enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding patient experience at every touchpoint.
What You’ll Do
· Welcome patients and create a warm, professional first impression in person and on the phone
· Coordinate appointments and support efficient daily scheduling
· Perform pre-testing and gather patient information prior to exams
· Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style
· Support frame adjustments, repairs, and overall optical care
· Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked dispensary
· Step into different areas of the clinic as needed, supporting both front desk and optical services throughout the day
What We’re Looking For
· Someone who enjoys a varied role and is comfortable switching between tasks and responsibilities
· Friendly, positive, and patient-focused in every interaction
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
· A strong team player who is flexible and willing to support where needed
· Interest in eye care and willingness to learn and grow in a clinical setting
· Previous experience in optometry or healthcare is an asset but not required
