Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Part Time Cashier to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for retail sales. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with precision and security
- Provide product information and conduct product demos when needed
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is tidy
- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism
- Support inventory management and restocking efforts
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and communication skills during interactions
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming store environment through effective time management and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of merchandising, upselling techniques, and product demos is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate good phone etiquette
