Job Title: General Labour – Furniture Production (Full-Time Summer)
Location: 1032 Henshaw Lake Rd, Port Carling, ON P0B 1J0
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time (Summer Position)
Overview:
We are hiring reliable general labourers to support our furniture production team. This role involves hands-on, physical work in a fast-paced environment, including material handling, assembly, and preparing finished products for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with assembling furniture using pre-cut and CNC-processed components
- Kit and package chair orders (boxing components and accessories accurately)
- Perform heavy lifting, moving, and staging materials
- Sort and organize parts, hardware, and inventory
- Maintain clean and efficient work areas
- Support production workflow and team tasks as needed
- Occasionally assist with basic customer interactions or showroom support when required
Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs consistently
- Comfortable with repetitive physical work
- Strong work ethic and reliability (attendance matters)
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Own transportation required
- Previous hands-on building experience (carpentry, furniture assembly, or similar) is required
Assets (Not Required):
- CNC experience or certification
- Experience in carpentry, furniture assembly, or cabinetmaking
- Experience with inventory management or stock organization
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Forklift experience (if applicable)
- Customer service experience
