The Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representatives to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients in your region. Your expertise in technical sales of metalworking machinery and account management, and relationship management will be crucial as you work to meet and exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service. Previous technical sales experience (ideally outside B2B sales) is an asset but not required.
Competitive compensation package is comprised of base salary, commissions on direct sales, car allowance, group benefits, and defined benefit pension plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand market presence within your region of the province.
· Conduct market research to identify potential customers and understand their needs.
· Utilize CRM to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on performance metrics.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
· Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
· Provide technical sales support by understanding product features and benefits, addressing client inquiries, and working with colleagues in sales support roles to offer tailored solutions.
· Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s offerings.
Skills
· Proven experience in metalworking machinery sales or a related field with a strong understanding of the sales process.
· Proficiency in CRM software for effective account management.
· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
· Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for both the company and clients.
· Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly for business development.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly.
· Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
