Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Coping and Flashing Sheet Metal Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing coping and flashing components on buildings, ensuring proper sealing, weatherproofing, and structural integrity. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety standards.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install sheet metal coping and flashing according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as hammers, snips, drills, and levels to accurately install metal components
- Read and interpret construction blueprints to ensure precise placement of materials
- Perform heavy lifting of sheet metal panels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Seal joints with caulking to prevent water infiltration and enhance weatherproofing
- Assist with other carpentry or handyman tasks as needed on the job site
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or sheet metal installation preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools used in construction and sheet metal work
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Experience with caulking and sealing techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Handyman experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with blueprint reading is desirable
