Position Summary
The HUB Child & Family Centre (The HUB) has served the children and families of Prince Edward County since 1989. We are dedicated to providing quality licensed child care and early learning.

We need you! We offer Summer Camp programs at PECI and Kente school.
All Summer Camp staff will report to the School Age Manager. Staff assist in the safe and efficient operation of the program in a manner consistent with the philosophy, goals and mission of The HUB Child & Family Centre.

Hours of Work: Full Time for Summer 2026
Wage:
Registered Early Childhood Educators: $23.86 per hour + $2.00 Wage Enhancement Grant (WEG)* per hour when directly working with children.
Child Care Assistants: $18.22 per hour + $2.00 Wage Enhancement Grant (WEG)* per hour when directly working with children.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- You will plan, organize, and initiate activities to help children to develop and learn intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally within our licensed child care centres.
- You will take part in outdoor activities and go on field trips.
- Implement programming aligned with “How Does Learning Happen?” documentation.
- Communicate and build relationships children, their families and other partner professionals.
- Work collaboratively with other ECEs and Child Care Assistants.
Requirements:
- Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with the College of ECE.
- Good working knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA).
- Experience with program planning, pedagogical documentation and evaluation.
- Must be dependable, flexible, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Reliable transportation, valid Ontario Driver’s license and reliable vehicle an asset.
- Good working knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act 2014 (CCEYA).
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of application.
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by Southeast Public Health.
- Up-to-date First Aid/CPR-C Certification.
- Must be reliable, flexible, and effectively work in a team environment.
