Prosperity Workforce Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organization seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Policy & Compliance Specialist to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor and evaluate legislative, regulatory, and compliance developments across multiple jurisdictions.
- Research emerging trends, risks, and best practices to support informed business decisions.
- Develop, review, and update organizational policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Assess current programs and practices to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership teams.
- Analyze the potential operational and organizational impacts of proposed policy changes.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure policies are practical, effective, and aligned with business objectives.
- Support compliance initiatives, audits, and ongoing process improvement projects.
- Provide guidance and recommendations regarding policy interpretation and implementation.
- Assist with additional projects and initiatives within the Human Resources and Professional Development functions as required.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Communications, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in policy analysis, compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, HR, or a similar field.
- Experience working within a corporate or private-sector environment is considered an asset.
- Previous exposure to Human Resources policies and practices is beneficial but not required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to assess risk and evaluate the business impact of policy decisions.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing professional reports, recommendations, and policy documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and practical manner.
