Overview
The Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily front-of-house operations of Bar Origin, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong team leadership, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in high-volume, upscale dining environments and is excited to be part of a dynamic restaurant launch.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
- Manage and train staff members, including interviewing potential team members, scheduling shifts, and providing ongoing coaching.
- Oversee customer service to ensure guests have a positive dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Lead by example in hospitality, leadership, and team management to foster a positive work environment.
- Handle administrative tasks such as reporting, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food quality control, including food preparation and cooking processes.
- Ensure the restaurant maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for both staff and guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
- Background in food preparation, cooking, hospitality, or hotel experience is preferred.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Experience in interviewing potential employees and managing restaurant operations efficiently.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations including food handling, food safety standards, and cooking techniques is advantageous.
