Overview
Our reputable Directional Drilling Company is seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our operation crew in Red Deer some travel required. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing skills in directional drilling, and operation within a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn about various aspects of underground utility installation.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and operation of drills and materials
- Support the drilling crew during drilling operations by preparing materials, digging site holes, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Perform general labor tasks including site preparation, material handling, hand digging, and debris removal to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify mechanical issues, supporting maintenance efforts with basic troubleshooting knowledge.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in telecommunications and underground utility installation projects is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Must be able to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions
- A valid license is desirable for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Familiarity with directional drilling operations or related underground utility work is beneficial but not mandatory.
