- Assisting fabrication/installation process assuring safety, QA (Quality Assurance) and QC (Quality Control), efficiency, material staging, and equipment maintenance
Education
- High School Graduation
- Diploma/Certificate of Machining Technology as an asset
Experience
- Countertop Fabrication/Installation: Not required but considered as an asset
- Experience in CAD/CAM/CNC: Not required but considered an asset
- Cantonese/Mandarin speaker: Not required but considered an asset
- Training will be provided
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute work orders and projects received by Production/Installation Manager
- Ensure daily productivity and quality standard being met, and adjust work strategies daily to maximize production and quality
- Manage material loading/staging for safe, smooth, and efficient production/installation workflow
Willing to learn the following:
- Cutting & polishing quartz & granite
- Install and polish waterfall legs
- Set seams using a seam machine
- Learning machinery
Requirement/Qualification for this position
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (granite/quartz) and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and positioning countertops into place on-site/in production shop.
- Ability to organize, schedule and complete stone fabrication/Installation as received
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a clean working space
- Great attitude and willingness to learn and take on new opportunities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient to read and distinguish between imperial and metric units
- Strong math and calculation skills
- Possessing a sense of responsibility
- Self-driven and motivated
- Valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
