Roadsport Yard Gear Fredericton is looking for a skilled and motivated Small Engine & Powersports Technician to join our service department.
We welcome applicants with experience in:
- Small engine repair
- Lawn mower and zero-turn mower repair
- ATV and UTV repair
- Compact tractor maintenance and repair
- Agricultural equipment service
- Motorcycle repair
- Automotive repair
- Heavy equipment maintenance
If you're mechanically inclined and enjoy diagnosing and repairing equipment, we'd like to hear from you. Previous powersports experience is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong mechanical background.
What You'll Work On
As a Small Engine & Powersports Technician, you'll diagnose, service, and repair a variety of equipment including:
- ATVs and Side-by-Sides (UTVs)
- Lawn tractors and zero-turn mowers
- Compact tractors
- Snowblowers
- Chainsaws
- Trimmers and outdoor power equipment
- Generators
- Other small-engine and powersports products

Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on powersports and outdoor power equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel system, hydraulic, and engine-related issues
- Complete warranty, service, and customer-pay repairs efficiently and accurately
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
- Install accessories and perform equipment setup and pre-delivery inspections
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service records
- Work closely with service advisors and team members to ensure customer satisfaction
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company and manufacturer safety procedures
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Small engine repair
- Lawn and garden equipment repair
- ATV or motorcycle repair
- Tractor or agricultural equipment repair
- Automotive service and repair
- Heavy equipment maintenance
- Diesel or mechanical trades
Skills & Attributes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read service manuals, parts diagrams, and technical information
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license preferred

Experience
2 years of mechanical repair experience preferred; however, equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
Candidates with backgrounds in small engine repair, lawn mower repair, tractor repair, agricultural equipment, motorcycle repair, automotive service, or heavy equipment maintenance are strongly encouraged to apply.
