Job Overview
The Senior Advisor, Business Intelligence provides data and analytics support for client initiatives. This role partners with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, deliver advanced analytical solutions, support data quality and governance standards, and drive continuous improvement in analytics capabilities. The position serves as a trusted advisor, leveraging data-driven insights to improve business performance, support decision-making, and identify opportunities for innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with internal teams and client stakeholders to identify business needs, strategic priorities, and opportunities for analytics-driven solutions.

Lead complex analytics initiatives from concept through delivery, including problem definition, data exploration, hypothesis development, analysis design, and validation of findings and recommendations.

Deliver high-quality analytical solutions, reports, dashboards, and insights within established timelines and business priorities.

Develop, apply, and validate advanced statistical, regression, forecasting, and predictive models using large and complex datasets.

Perform scenario analysis and performance optimization studies to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Evaluate data sources to ensure accuracy, reliability, completeness, and fitness for business use.

Recommend and implement improvements to data collection, validation, governance, and reporting processes.

Lead the design, development, and enhancement of dashboards and reporting tools that enable actionable, data-driven decision-making.

Facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and cross-functional discussions to identify innovative applications of data and analytics.

Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities that support business objectives.

Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, tailoring communications to the audience.

Develop and maintain deep business, operational, and system knowledge within supported functional areas.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, promoting analytical best practices and professional development.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organizational analytics maturity and business intelligence capabilities.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is considered an asset.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, statistical analysis, or a related discipline.

Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R, with experience managing and analyzing large, complex datasets.

Experience working with Microsoft Azure Databricks and modern cloud-based analytics platforms.

Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting techniques, and data interpretation.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, and GIS tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information into meaningful business insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Experience leading workshops, facilitating discussions, and presenting to diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership.

Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced analytics, predictive modeling, forecasting, and statistical methodologies.

Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their practical application to business and customer analytics.

Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and enterprise analytics environments.

Familiarity with cloud-based analytics solutions and scalable data architecture.

Experience supporting large-scale business transformation, operational excellence, or data modernization initiatives.

Typical office or hybrid work environment.

Occasional travel required, approximately 5% of the time.

Travel may include visits to client offices, project sites, or stakeholder meetings as required.
