Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Community Support Workers to join a dedicated 2:1 female support team in Simcoe (Haldimand Norfolk). This role supports a 10 yr old female with Autism, ADHD, intellectual delay, and complex behavioural needs.
You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, independence, and positive daily routines. This position is ideal for professionals who are calm, consistent, and passionate about person-centred care.
Shifts will be: Mornings, Evenings and Weekends
Must be willing to drive to Simcoe (Haldimand Norfolk)
What You’ll Do
- Provide consistent individualized support in a respectful, person-centred manner
- Implement an individualized Behaviour Support Plan
- Support emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills
- Personal care when required
- Engage in meaningful daily activities that build independence and confidence
- Accurately collect and document behavioural data
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to reduce challenging behaviours
- Maintain a calm, safe, and predictable environment
- Work collaboratively with the family and clinical team
Who You Are
- Experience working with young females is an asset
- Experience supporting individuals with behavioural or mental health needs
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support (ABA experience an asset)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Reliable, professional, and committed to team-based care
- CPI certification required
- First Aid & CPR required
- Vulnerable Police Check required
- Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle
