About Joto
Joto Imaging Supplies is a wholesale distributor of sublimation, DTF, and UV printing supplies, serving print shops, decorators, and small manufacturers across Canada. We ship from warehouses in Coquitlam, Mississauga, and Blaine. We are a small team that moves quickly, and everyone here touches more than one part of the business.
Our tagline is Bringing Images to Life™, and we mean it. Our customers make things for a living, and we make sure they can.
The role
This is a generalist role for someone who likes variety and does not need to be told what to do twice.
On any given day you might be packing a rush order for a customer who needs it tomorrow, running a sample through the DTF printer, holding a camera while we film a heat press demo, staging product for a photo, and helping unload a container. The work changes. That is the point.
We are looking for someone early in their career who wants exposure to how a business actually runs, or someone experienced who is tired of doing one narrow thing all day. Either works. What matters is that you take a project, run with it, and come back when it is finished rather than when it is stuck.
What you will actually do
Warehouse and orders
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders, including rush orders that need to move today
- Unload and unpack incoming containers
- Keep product organized and the space in good shape
Printing and product
- Print samples and designs on our sublimation, DTF, and UV equipment
- Learn to operate the machines properly, then help show others how they work
- Prepare samples for trade shows, customer meetings, and content shoots
Content and marketing
- Hold the camera and shoot video for product demos, how to content, and social posts
- Photograph products and stage them for shoots
- Set up, display, and reset product for filming
- Support marketing with whatever the shoot or campaign needs
What we are looking for
- You start things without being asked, and you finish them
- You can hold four projects at once and still know where each one stands
- You are comfortable on a warehouse floor and behind a camera on the same day
- Hands on experience with a camera, either photo or video
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- You communicate clearly, in writing and in person
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to have, not required:
- Video editing experience
- Familiarity with an ERP system
- Familiarity with Shopify
We will teach you the products and the equipment. We cannot teach you initiative.
What you get
- Starting wage at the British Columbia minimum, with pay reviewed as you take on more
- Direct access to management. You will work alongside the people making the decisions, not three layers below them
- A motivated team that moves fast and expects the same
- Real exposure across operations, printing, marketing, and content, with a clear path to specialize in whichever area you turn out to be best at
- Hands on training on printing equipment that most people never get to touch
Pay: $18.25-$19.25 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Coquitlam, BC V3K 7A1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Application question(s):
- You have handled cameras, not just phone cameras.
- You will be required to do odd jobs, help empty containers (lifting >50lbs), work on custom orders, work with our printers and equipment. Are you comfortable with that?
Language:
- English Fluently (required)
Work Location: In person
