A-1 Wireless Inc. is a Mississauga-based electronics lifecycle and refurbishment company specializing in the procurement, refurbishment, and distribution of pre-owned mobile devices across North America. Our Processing Department functions as the central evaluation hub within our refurbishment pipeline, ensuring each device is correctly assessed, routed, and released through the appropriate refurbishment stages before final kitting and shipment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a methodical and detail-driven Mobile Device Processing & Inventory Control Associate to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating incoming mobile devices including cellphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches etc. determining refurbishment pathways, coordinating workflow routing, and conducting final quality validation before release into the kitting/packaging stage.
This role requires strong judgment, consistency, and familiarity with mobile device conditions in a structured refurbishment or QA environment.
- Day shift only: MON-THU 9 AM- 6 PM, FRIDAYS 9 AM - 4 PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive incoming devices from intake and initiate processing workflow for each unit
- Inspect devices for functional and cosmetic condition to determine appropriate refurbishment routing
- Assign devices to the appropriate internal workflow path:
Testing (functional validation)
Repair (hardware component repair such as screen, battery, charging port)
Surface Treatment (cosmetic restoration and buffing)
- Accurately document routing decisions, condition notes, and required actions in internal tracking systems
- Coordinate the physical movement of devices to respective departments in a controlled and organized manner
- Receive devices back from refurbishment departments and conduct final quality validation checks
- Approve or reject devices based on outbound quality standards prior to release to Kitting
- Identify and escalate non-conforming units to supervision
- Maintain accurate logs of daily processing volumes and device status changes
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and health & safety requirements
- Maintain organized and efficient processing workstation environment
- Collaborate with Kitting and Inventory teams to ensure smooth operational flow
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–4 years of experience in one or more of the following preferred:
electronics refurbishment or device repair environments
quality control, inspection, or testing roles
structured warehouse operations involving serialized inventory
- Strong working knowledge of mobile devices (Apple, Samsung, Google, etc.) is an asset
- Ability to identify common device defects and functional issues
- Experience with structured decision-making in high-volume workflows
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in quality assessment
- Comfortable using tracking systems, spreadsheets, or barcode-based workflows
- Ability to communicate clearly across multiple internal departments
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling devices safely
- Reliable, disciplined, and process-oriented work style
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
