Requirements
- Canadian RN license (must be RN - LPN/RPN registration does not qualify)
- Home Care or Medical Surgical Experience
- Canadian citizenship (for U.S. TN visa eligibility)
- Active RN License
- 1-2 Years Minimum RN Experience
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation, using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheter care following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations
- Manage complex medical procedures including wound care, suturing, ostomy care, tube feeding, ventilator management, and dialysis treatments
- Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, and diagnostic imaging support when applicable
- Provide specialized care for patients with conditions like Alzheimer's disease, dementia, traumatic injuries (Level I & II trauma), infectious diseases, or post-acute recovery needs
- Educate patients and families on health management strategies, including pain management, nutrition counseling, health coaching, discharge planning, and medication administration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and ensure continuity of care across settings
- Maintain accurate medical documentation compliant with medical records standards and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10)
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed during all patient interactions and procedures
