Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel management is highly valued, along with familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and POS systems such as Micros POS. A background in supervising teams, interviewing potential staff, and managing restaurant operations will be essential to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food quality, customer service, and staff performance
- Manage daily staffing schedules and supervise team members to ensure efficient service delivery
- Hire, interview, and onboard new employees to build a strong team aligned with company standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant
- Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Micros POS
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely food and beverage procurement
- Lead training sessions on food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and retention
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment
- Experience in interviewing potential employees and conducting performance evaluations
- Background in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista experience is a plus
- Hospitality or hotel management experience is desirable but not required
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
