Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Full-Time Nanny in West Vancouver to provide attentive childcare and support for one child. This role involves nurturing, supervising, and engaging children in a safe and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive atmosphere that promotes the children's development, well-being, and happiness. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through compassionate caregiving and educational support. Hours range from 7am-6pm with occasional overnight for additional pay. Live in option available.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care, ensuring their safety at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary needs
- Assist with daily routines including dressing, bathing, and nap schedules
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to children such as cleaning up toys and maintaining their living areas
- Support children with homework, teaching basic educational concepts, and encouraging curiosity
- Cook meals and assist with meal preparation to ensure balanced nutrition
- Work with children who may have special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Pre-school pick up and drop off, either by car (5 min drive) or walking (20 min walk)
- Occasional overnights required (1-2/month for extra pay)
Experience
- Valid driver's license with safe driving record
- Prior experience working with children, including infants and toddlers, is preferred
- Experience in caregiving roles involving children with disabilities is a plus
- Skills in cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and general caregiving are highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to teach basic skills and foster developmental growth in young children
- Compassionate attitude with patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
