Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-specific software tools . The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in securing profitable projects and maintaining competitive pricing strategies.
Duties
- Review and analyze construction project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost proposals including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Collaborate with project management teams to understand scope changes and update estimates accordingly.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules based on estimate data.
- Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market conditions to maintain competitive edge.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials pricing, and labor costs.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and clients.
- Effective project management skills to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
