The Market Manager will oversee daily operations for a Lina’s Italian Market, including customer service, training and development of all associates, labour management, cash and inventory control, assets protection, store conditions, and performance management. As Market Manager, you are expected to exemplify excellent customer service skills, including both retention and development; be an effective communicator; be organized and efficient and exemplify excellent planning and coordination skills.
Main duties:
- Management and Finance
- Reporting Weekly during Team Meetings on both team successes& opportunities for improvement.
- Accountable for maintaining the coolers and storage areas of the Market, ensuring they remain clean, organized, properly labeled in accordance with all OH&S and Food Safety Policies.
- Responsible for hiring and training new team members
- Create a coaching and development culture for all Store employees, with direct accountability for designated departments, fostering a strong passion for food
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase profitability, reduce waste and spoilage
- Role-model, coach and consistently reinforce customer service expectations with all staff on a daily basis
- Ensure efficient operation of the business to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budgeted KPIs, with direct accountability for all departments.
