About you

Are you able to engage students and inspire them to put their critical thinking, problem-solving, engineering and coding thinking caps on? You love to tinker, develop educational processes / ideas and make a difference in education. You are a self-starter, innovative with good communication skills and like to work on projects associated with education. You are looking to join a team where you are able to learn, add value and grow. You can manage expectations and really hit that deadline. You work well under pressure and are great at working with different people as a team player with a winning attitude.
Description
Short Version: Inspire future engineering thinkers to have fun (Ages 6 - 15)
Long Version: As a Curriculum Developer on the Instructors Team - You will be in charge of the curriculum and the technological education development of youth 6 - 17 years old. You understand the minds of students and how to engage them, captivate and unleash these students’ potential so they think about STEM. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) when it comes to educational child development material for this age group. In turn, you also understand the perspective of parents and guardians of these students. You will consider parental input and identify what their goal is for students within this age group.
Through this position, you will be awarded many opportunities to gain valuable leadership, communication, decision making and organizational skills. In addition, you will gain valuable edu-engineering skills that are transferable. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to create / design new teaching methodology with the goal of changing the way students learn in the 21st century.
Technical Development
- Develop using Wiz Curriculum Toolkit which require vibe coding and understand basic HTML / CSS
- Write clean code following best software engineering practices (ie. Comments, TDD and more)
Communication & Content Development
- Communicating with Wiz team members on the progress of curriculum development.
- Provide support for the curriculum content changes.
- Create and design engaging and effective learning content which can be in the form of video, interactive HTML/JS and more.
- Gather feedback on curriculum improvement, classroom organization and student engagement to update the curriculum content for enhanced experience.
