Job Overview
At Custom Cubes, we are not a typical fabrication shop. We are building a high-performance, organized, and safety-driven production environment as we scale rapidly. Reporting to the Welding Supervisor, the Welder/Fabricator plays a key role in fabricating and assembling custom container-based structures. Beyond welding, this role contributes to improving how we work by supporting our 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to build a cleaner, safer, and more efficient shop. This is an opportunity for experienced welders who take pride in their work and want to grow with a company that is actively investing in its people, processes, and future.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will perform welding and fabrication using GMAW (MIG) processes on structural steel and custom builds. Your responsibilities include layout, fit-up, and assembling components based on drawings and specifications. You will read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and project requirements daily. You will collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality expectations while actively contributing ideas to improve workflow efficiency, and quality. Supporting and maintaining high safety standards, along with a clean organized workspace aligned with our 5S standards, is required in all tasks.
What We Are Looking For:
We need someone with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience. Strong proficiency in GMAW (MIG) is mandatory, and multi-process experience is an asset. You must hold a CWB certification or have the ability to pass testing in all positions, and a Red Seal certification is considered a strong asset. You need the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and welding procedures, backed by a solid understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality expectations. We are looking for someone with experience leading or supporting a small team on the shop floor, who can coach, guide, and support less experienced team members. You must be reliable, team-oriented, take ownership of your work, and bring a strong work ethic with attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship.
What Makes This Role Different:
This is a growing company with real opportunities, where strong performers can advance into Lead Hand, Supervisor, or specialized roles. We provide a clear path for advancement and look to promote from within as the team and operation continue to grow. We are actively building a better shop through the implementation of 5S and Lean practices. You will be joining a team-based environment with a clear structure, accountability, and support. The work offers true variety, focusing on custom projects rather than repetitive production line work.
Safety & Culture:
At Custom Cubes, safety is part of how we work every day. We use 5S to keep the shop organized, efficient, and safe, making a clean and orderly workspace an absolute expectation for all team members. Everyone is responsible for their own work area and for contributing to a safe, respectful, and accountable work environment.
Location:
This is an in-person role requiring you to work from our Delta facility.
Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
