- Salary starting at $26/hour, with multiple increases based on hours worked, up to $32/hour;

About the Role - Your main responsibilities will include:
- Safely operate shearing, bending, and shaping machines
- Cut rebar to specified lengths and bend to required shapes and angles.
- Ensure correct bar sizes, grades, and tags are used for each order.
- Bend to lift and manually load up to 50 pounds rebar into the machines on a regular basis.
- In a standing position, untangle and shake up to 50 pounds of rebar as needed.
- Perform daily pre-use inspections of machinery and tools and daily hazard assessment and immediately report any machinery irregularities.
- Permanently wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid injuries
- Keep hands, clothing, and tools away from all moving parts and never bypass safety guards or devices.
- Clean machines and work areas after following proper shutdown and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Comply at all times with AGF’s Health & Safety policies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing;
- Basic math/measurement skills (an asset);
- Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment;
- Ability to work physically – lift/move up to 50lbs;
- Willingness and capacity to work outside in varying weather conditions, and perform physical work;
- Good communication skills, Multi-tasking and a strong capacity for teamwork.
