Responsible for operating machinery to bend and form steel and other metal materials according to specifications and drawings. Ensures high-quality workmanship, accuracy, and adherence to safety and production standards in a manufacturing environment.
Operate rolling machines to form and roll steel plates and metal materials to required dimensions.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine job specifications.
Set up and adjust machinery as needed for each production run.
Perform layout and marking of dimensions on plates and materials.
Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
Safely operate lifting devices and assist with material handling when required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Complete all required production paperwork accurately and on time.
Perform machine cleaning and maintenance, including roll setup and adjustments.
Operate beveling machines as needed.
Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor or safety committee.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
