Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Hand Carpenter to oversee and execute a variety of construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive carpentry expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role involves supervising team members, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship across diverse building projects. The Lead Hand Carpenter will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, adhering to project timelines, and delivering exceptional results in residential, commercial, and restoration settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and construction workers on-site to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other construction machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist with construction estimating by providing accurate material take-offs and labor assessments.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Manage project timelines by organizing daily tasks and delegating responsibilities appropriately.
- Support training of junior team members to promote skill development and uphold company standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, rebar installation methods, and construction painting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work.
