Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting paving and construction projects, ensuring the smooth operation of heavy equipment, and assisting with various tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and eager to contribute to quality infrastructure development.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and placement of asphalt during paving projects
- Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, loaders, and compactors under supervision
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including safety barriers and signage
- Help with material handling, including moving supplies and tools around the site
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
- Perform general labor tasks as needed to support ongoing construction activities
Experience
- Prior experience in paving or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Experience working on construction sites or in outdoor labor roles is advantageous
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
