The Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake is seeking candidates for:
Summary of Position: The Fire Chief is responsible for the overall administration, planning, direction, and leadership of all functions of the Fire Department, including departmental administration, public fire safety education, fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency rescue services, and the supervision and leadership of departmental personnel, in accordance with applicable municipal by-laws and governing legislation.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive firefighting experience and 3-5 years of leadership experience.
- Post-secondary diploma in Fire Service-related discipline and a graduate of the Ontario Fire College Company Office Program, and/or Fire Prevention Officer program, Trainer Facilitator or equivalent would be assets.
- Strong leadership, teamwork effective communication (including media and public speaking), resourcefulness, attention to detail, adaptability, problem solving, strategic thinking, decision-making, organization and multi-tasking, time management, and maintaining confidentiality required.

Wage is $120,000 – 140,000 subjects to experience and qualifications.
