This position is part of a unionized bargaining unit. The hourly wage for this position starts at $16.60 and is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether starting or higher, will fall within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.
This is a posting for an existing permanent part-time position.

Join Our Food Basics Team as an Overnight Grocery Clerk!
Play a vital role in preparing our store for success each day! As an Overnight Grocery Clerk, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, building displays, and maintaining a clean and safe environment while the store is closed or operating with minimal customer traffic.
Our overnight team is essential to the success of Food Basics, ensuring products are available, aisles are organized, and the store is ready to provide an exceptional shopping experience each morning. What You'll Do:
- Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom, cooler, and storage areas.
- Stock shelves, displays, and end caps with incoming inventory.
- Ensure products are placed in the correct locations and presented according to company standards.
- Rotate stock using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.
- Face, level, and recover aisles to maintain a neat and organized appearance.
- Build and maintain promotional displays and seasonal features.
- Verify pricing, signage, and product labeling accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock, damaged, or out-of-stock items.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory-related tasks as required.
- Keep aisles, work areas, and stockrooms clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Sweep and mop floors and respond promptly to spills or safety concerns.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment and tools safely and responsibly.
- Assist other departments as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Customer service driven.
- Able to stock merchandise and create displays.
- Good product knowledge and attention to detail.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Retail experience is considered an asset.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time and work under minimal supervision.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
